| Since the
early 1930's Joe Voges has been
collecting mounted wildlife. To
meet the needs for housing this large
and unique collection, a group of
dedicated individuals worked to purchase
the Brawner building. In 2005, the
collection was moved into its present
location on South 6th Street. Also
constructed in the museum is an
interactive learning center, assembly
area for meetings about nature, a
library containing relevant materials, a
gift shop and a children's story telling
